As a result of our continued success and growth, we are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our industry-leading in-house team of marketing professionals.
The Marketing Coordinator will support Allentown’s Marketing Department across its marketing and advertising activities. The ideal candidate is a highly detailed and organized self-starter who can work cross-functionally on the planning and the implementation of marketing projects.

The Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be to support administrative duties and aspects of in-person events such as customer/guest visits, internal meetings, trainings, networking, social and charity functions, as well as other types of internal and external events. An additional area of focus will be maintenance and fulfillment of promotional items, apparel, and marketing assets for event use and in response to employee/department requests.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to grow into more responsibility within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Oversee planning and execution of tasks for in-person customer/guest visits, internal meetings, trainings, and other events at the U.S. headquarters facility including administrative and logistics activities, setup/breakdown, calendar invitations, email notifications, agendas and itineraries, meeting room spaces, A/V and technology, food and beverage, travel and housing, product/equipment requirements, product samples, sales order coordination, literature and other marketing materials, promotional items and apparel, presentations, signage, billing processing, and budget review.
  • Coordinate schedules of internal and external stakeholders for participation in assigned events.
  • Compose and distribute communications as necessary before, during, and after assigned events.
  • Administer marketing assets, promotional item and apparel inventories and maintain appropriate levels by managing a variety of outside vendors and prospective online company store.
  • Prepare and pack shipments of marketing materials for events and overall field support.
  • Project manage and produce metrics reports relevant to marketing assignments.
  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure functionality and coordination of the Marketing Department’s activities.
  • Willingness to learn corporate brand and products/equipment and their use and applications.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years marketing, event/meeting management, hospitality, or related administrative experience; experience within life science and/or biomedical research industries a plus.
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach and deadline driven.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and people skills while being flexible, creative, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, be hands-on, and collaborate closely with direct team members, other departments, executive management, customers, partners, vendors, and other external parties.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Google applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Webex a plus.
  • Capable of lifting/moving 25 lbs. for management and shipment of marketing materials and event setup/breakdown.
