Allegis Group is Hiring a Scrum Master Near Hanover, MD

The Scrum Master will utilize applicable adaptations of Agile practices, principles and tools to plan, organize, monitor, and serve 2 scrum teams at any given time. The Scrum Master will champion the execution of the Scrum framework within their assigned teams.

Responsibilities
  • Educate and coach team in SAFe/Agile/Scrum processes
  • Lead with servant leadership and empathetic leadership styles
  • Facilitate PI planning ensuring team is ready to plan the PI by scheduling and facilitating Rolling Wave Planning meetings
  • Support iteration execution by facilitating team events and facilitating other meetings as required
  • Review metrics with team to ensure transparency and coaching opportunities
  • Collaborate with PO, RTE, IS Manager, Delivery Manager, vendor partners, and other roles as required
  • Foster team collaboration and conflict resolution
  • Facilitate cross team collaboration
  • Help team prepare for Inspect & Adapt
  • Removes impediments and/or guides the team to resolution by finding the right personnel
  • Builds a trusting and safe environment where collaborative problem solving is encouraged
  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Partners with the RTE in supporting and educating the Product Owner, ensuring Version One is updated and a healthy team backlog
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, SSM etc.)
  • Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least 3 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Strong skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team ? Version One and MS Office as Teams is heavily utilized.
