The Position:

We are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist add to our business development sales team. Their role is to provide a high-quality experience for our customers, driving new business and revenue. Are you communicative and persuasive? Can you build strong relationships? Do you exhibit professionalism and positivity? We hope so, as your objective is to drive new business revenue by bringing on more higher quality customers. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying leads and developing these opportunities into new customers to maximize profitable revenue. The ideal candidate must be a critical thinker who is detail-minded and can multi-task, one who can work independently, yet also be collaborative. Responsibilities:

  • Complete pre-call research prior to contacting a sales ready lead (SRL) to gain knowledge about the contact/company
  • Schedule appointments with all sales ready leads
  • Enter sales ready leads in CRM and ensuring all data is accurate
  • Manage the sales ready lead pipeline including qualifying each lead to convert to continue the sales process, disqualifying where they do not meet the necessary requirements and coding each appropriately.
  • Complete conflict checks to ensure there is no situations with existing customers
  • Close opportunities to convert to customers and provide any needed information
  • Complete the implementation phase with customers to discuss the critical success retailing principals
  • Collect all onboarding paperwork and enter in the system
  • Create and review initial quote to ensure the customer has all necessary items and discuss any potential shipping concerns
  • Manage all customer onboarding activities
  • Record all completed activities, interactions, and data in CRM
  • Participate in monthly field team call to review the new business pipeline
  • Handle all pre-show tradeshow activities including all sales ready leads to attend
  • Backup Customer Care for taking customer orders

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Experience working with a service focused organization
  • Record of success exceeding objectives
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time/Hourly

Work Location: Amityville, NY

Travel: 5-10% (This may increase or decrease based on the needs of the business)

Salary: $26/Hour ($54,000) - $30.00/Hours ($62,400)
