Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expand and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.
  • Optimize data systems and building them from the ground up
  • Support our various departments/stakeholders, several enterprise applications, database architects, and business analysts on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects
  • Optimize or in some cases re-design our company’s data architecture to support our digital transformation into the cloud and our next generation of applications and data initiatives
  • Partner with business stakeholders, engineers, and business systems analysts to identify data mappings and generate enterprise analytics data models
  • Extensive hands-on experience in data warehousing design, ETL/ELT, BI process development
  • Builds foundational infrastructure for data pipelines
  • Participate in enterprise data management (EDM) initiative(s)
  • Work with business application software vendors and internal teams to build custom integrations between SaaS (Software as a Service) applications, on-premise systems, and enterprise data warehouse
  • Collaborate with other members of the technology team on shared technical knowledge and experience
  • Work closely with data architect to support enterprise-wide modeling efforts
  • Perform routine database administration to keep environments healthy
  • Assist with Azure and other data cloud environment implementations
  • Document data models across the company in a centralized location that is highly visible to stakeholders
  • Participate in EDM platform requirements definition and selection process and will help demonstrate value to business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Hands-on experience implementing full-cycle cloud enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects
  • Deal with process optimization methods, and risk management tools for successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders
  • Support, train, interface and participate with peers, users and vendors as needed
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on repetitive tasks
  • Participate in proof-of-concept testing

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 years of data architecture, data analysis, data modeling
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science
  • Azure Data Engineer Certification preferred
  • Experience with Azure data factory
  • Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs
  • Expertise in building Automated Data pipeline by Metadata ingestion for analyzing & reporting
  • Hands-on technical experience with BI technologies (PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Hands-on experience with databases in relation to cloud-based FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis systems)
  • Cloud focused with strong enterprise experience in the full Azure data stack
  • Experience applying modern data management frameworks and methods
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Security conscientiousness towards all work performed
  • Technical project/change management
  • Should be familiar with SQL, C, PowerShell, bash, and python scripting

  • Knowledge on SQL server administration (DBA) would be strongly desire
