Alexandria Insights is Hiring an Enterprise Architect Near San Diego, CA

Enterprise Architect

Alexandria Insights is looking for Enterprise Architect to support to NAVWAR 5.0 Architecture Lead and Technical Warrant Holder (TWH) for architecture development, modeling to support systems engineering and acquisition processes, architecting process design, and support of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) with architecture analysis and assessment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide architecture and MBSE support to NAVWAR 5.0 clients in positions of technical authority and subject matter expertise (e.g. TWH, TPO, SME).
  • Develop and maintain NAVWAR architectures at the enterprise, mission, and solution levels.
  • Develop and maintain models, artifacts, and integrated datasets for complex systems and systems of systems (SoS).
  • Collaborate and coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders to convey concepts and elicit information in support of architecture development.
  • Conduct assessments of architectures in support of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) and Acquisition events and make recommendations.
  • Analyze architecture and engineering data to solve complex problems, recommendation solutions, and improve products and processes.
  • Contribute to development of new technical principles, process design, and research of emerging concepts
  • Ensure architecture and model compliance with DoD and NAVWAR policy and guidance.
  • Work with other Navy PMWs, SYSCOMS, and organizations for architecture and systems engineering model development.

Education & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.), Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Operations Research, Physics, Intelligence, Foreign/International Relations, or National Security.
  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices related to Enterprise Architecture, Architecting, MBSE, Data Modeling, Systems Engineering.

  • Experience in supporting acquisition programs, and knowledge of the acquisition process/policy. Preferred completed DAU Acquisition 101.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with experience supporting government clients.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Five (5) or more years in executing and managing Science and Technology (S&T) portfolios;
  • Five (5) or more years with Navy C4I systems and architectures
  • Five (5) or more years with architecture frameworks, DoDAF, UAF
  • Five (5) or more years in Systems Engineering and MBSE principles and methodologies
  • Five (5) or more years with SysML, UML, UPDM, BPMN
  • Five (5) or more years with systems integration, JCIDS, IT-enabled business solutions
  • Five (5) or more years y with the Defense Acquisition System (DAS), DoDD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02
  • Five (5) or more years with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Five (5) or more years with DevSecOps concepts and methodologies
  • Five (5) or more years in process and use case development
  • Five (5) or more years with architecting IT solutions from user requirements and use cases
  • Five (5) or more years with technical delivery, COTS implementation
  • Five (5) or more years with architecture and modeling tools, such as MagicDraw/Cameo, Sparx EA
