Job Summary

We are continuing to expand our team and are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join some of the industry’s brightest minds that are dedicated to providing our customers and partners with security value and outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement and iterate the infrastructure underlying the Alert Logic production environment in AWS
• Participate in performance tuning, availability, and disaster recovery for production environments
• Work with engineering stakeholders to identify and design Chaos Engineering experiments
• Implement, run, and report on Chaos Engineering experiments in production environments
• Maintain and update infrastructure as a code for relevant components

Required Skills and Experience

• A strong desire to improve technology and processes
• Ability to logically troubleshoot availability and performance issues
• 2 years of experience working in a production environment
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • EC2, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, Kinesis, etc.
• Linux systems engineering
  • System deployment, management, performance tuning, problem diagnostics
• Experience working with infrastructure-as-code base managing Linux in a Cloud Environment
  • CloudFormation, Terraform
• Ability to manage system impacting events
  • Must be able to clearly communicate steps for resolution
• Strong scripting experience with at least one object-oriented language (Python required)
• No fear of transitioning to new technologies

Desired Skills and Experience

• CI/CD systems knowledge
• Network troubleshooting skills
  • Routing, DNS, etc
• Other programming languages such as Ruby and Erlang
• Active Directory experience and Windows administration concepts
• Database experience
  • MySQL (on AWS Aurora), DynamoDB, MongoDB, Elastic Search
