Aldridge is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team! Aldridge has been saving business executives and IT professionals time, energy and resources since 1984. Since our first location opened in Houston, we have expanded to Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Seattle, and with an increasingly complex IT environment, we are searching for high aptitude professionals to work with our list of customers. We have recently been named to the 2022 Fast 100 List by the Houston Business Journal. This role would be based in our Houston office.
The mission of the Senior Accountant is to take ownership for every aspect that goes into producing the company’s financial reporting by maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently or in collaboration with peers, ensuring successful completion of both day-to-day tasks and ongoing improvement projects. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other financial reports
Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Develop new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
Participate in setting the financial standards
Manage the Financial Closing process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Bi-monthly payroll administration
May supervise and guide other members in the department
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Familiarity with accounting software and programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel or other spreadsheets, with an ability to visualize complex data and trends
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required
CPA certification is a plus but not required
