THE ALDRICH COMPANY is Hiring a Service Desk Technician Near San Diego, CA

Position Information

We are searching for a Service Desk Technician to provide technical support to our employees in a friendly and professional manner. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as prior support desk experience (internships count). The role will include team support and maintenance of Microsoft Windows and Citrix environments, support of Microsoft Office tools, troubleshooting, prioritizing, and completing assigned tickets in a timely manner, as well as escalating complex issues to other IT members.

Responsibilities

  • Triage employee requests and take effective action for resolution
  • Perform workstation deployments and moves by installing, monitoring and supporting functions of desktop operating systems and related applications
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all departments in resolving any functionality issues with business systems (i.e. troubleshooting)
  • Provide help desk support to on-site and remote staff
  • Assist in improving and documenting help desk policies and procedures
  • Assist in managing equipment life cycle
  • Rotational on-call emergency support
  • Assist with other IT projects as needed
Technical Skills
  • Preferred experience in Microsoft Windows environment, including Active Directory as well as Office 365
  • Preferred experience in Citrix environment and remote desktop support tools
  • Demonstrated experience providing end-user technical support

Qualifications

  • Customer service focus combined with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet required deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn industry specific applications
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Demonstrated time management and task organization
