In this role the Training Specialist will be responsible, but not limited to, training new and current employees, maintain, edit and review training documentation, audit department files, assist with department projects and collaborate with team members on training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have prior buying knowledge along with SAP experience and have an Associate’s Degree in Training & Development, Business or a related field, a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience or a combination of education and experience. The objective of this role is to implement and deliver training and support to the National Buying, Customer Interaction and Supply Chain Management departments and to ensure company policies and procedures are met within the training program.

This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Consults with direct leaders on employee progress during training sessions.
• Recommends process improvements for area of responsibility.
• Performs virtual and in person training for all National Buying new hires along with daily, weekly and monthly trainings as needed with staff.
• Edits and reviews training documents for accuracy.
• Assists in department initiatives and projects.
• Performs audits on department files and provides updates to leadership.
• Attends meetings with leadership and staff regarding policy and procedure updates.
• Prepares materials for department meetings or presentations
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Training & Development, Business or a related field required.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Training required.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

• Local travel required.
• Up to 10%.
