This role is an outstanding opportunity to work with a diverse and highly skilled team of professionals who are responsible for the financial reporting/compliance and business strategy of the Massena Smelter and Casthouse. In this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with location finance team and will act as business partner to our department leaders. You will perform key financial reporting and analysis processes, will assist with the review, consolidation and preparation of the monthly forecasts, prepare monthly reporting packages, and assist the Controller with other strategic and business analysis as the need arises. Financial Accounting Activities: Project cost control monitoring of Capital Projects. Monthly financial management reporting & analysis. Monthly closing support and reporting. Assist with annual planning and monthly forecasting deployment for the location. Preparation of various internal reports. Audit self-assessment testing. Freight analysis. Perform special project work as required. Monthly Account Reconciliations. Financial Analysis Activities: Develop, analyze, and handle financial cost control systems. Provide spending trend analysis, margin analyses, cash flow, profitability, forecasting, and financial recommendations. Coordinate, analyze, and consolidate financial data requirements with management. Provide accurate and timely cost and other non-financial statistical information/data support including monthly reports. Prepare monthly forecast including labor/headcount, operating expenses, and balance sheet data. Complete Internal/SOX audit testing including Compliance for Financial Business Processes Prepare Capital Project cost control reports including monthly spend, capital accruals, asset handovers and Post Project Reviews.
