Alaska Christian College is Hiring an Enrollment Assistant Near Soldotna, AK

JOB TITLE: Enrollment Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Enrollment
REPORTS TO: Director of Enrollment/Director of Financial Aid STATUS: Part Time, 25-30 hours per week, Regular, Non-Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule varies from 25-30 hours per week based on projects and events.

PURPOSE: Assists the Directors of Enrollment and Financial Aid in all aspects related to student enrollment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Meets with students to complete scholarship applications and processes scholarship funds when received.
2. Assists students and parents in completing the FAFSA.
3. Completes the verification process with selected students.
4. Assists the enrollment team with prospective student communication.
5. Provides excellent customer service to prospective students and their families.
6. Provides campus tours as needed.
7. Develops standard operating procedures (SOP) manual for this position.
8. Coordinates student travel at the beginning of each semester. Assists students with reservations and billing.
9. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of principles for providing customer service, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
3. Must understand and maintain confidentiality of all information seen or heard.
4. Must be able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
5. Must be detail-oriented, organized, efficient and highly accurate and skilled in all work performed.
6. Must be able to function well in a cross-cultural environment, show a learning attitude, and willingness to be a team player.
7. High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
8. Must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot independently.
9. Prior knowledge of Financial Aid and basic account management skills preferred.
10. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Google Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
11. Must develop proficiency in student and financial aid management software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
These duties will be conducted in an office environment with limited exposure to hazardous materials. Most of the on-site shift will be spent seated and working on a computer. Must have adequate sight to meet the responsibilities of the job. Must be able to lift 40 pounds on an occasional basis.

DRESS CODE:
Within the office, “business casual” dress is expected. Jeans are acceptable as long as they are clean and well-kept. If any questions arise

regarding what is appropriate, speak with the supervisor.
