Alakaina Family of Companies is Hiring a Travel Administrator Near Harbor, HI

The Alaka’ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Travel Administrator to support a potential customer, located out of Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i. Support is out of Oahu, Hawai'i. 

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide stand-alone services in support of the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) programs.
  • Communicate with Government Travelers on travel-related issues.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the travel program and provide support for the Travel Card Program in compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoD Financial Management Regulations (DODFMR), and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) instructions
  • Ensure that newly reporting personnel are received into DTS in their appropriate DTS Organization.
  • Monitor the DMM for satisfactory compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Ensure Due US Vouchers are Stamped “Process Served” within 30 days and report to the PACFLT Travel Manager if Payroll Collect isn't initiated within 60 days.
  • Provide metrics of current USPACFLT HQ and sub-Organization DMM status.
  • Monitor and track voucher submissions using the DTS to determine if the vouchers have been submitted within the five-day regulatory timeframe.
  • Notify travelers of the requirement to submit a travel voucher within five days after return from travel.
  • Notify travelers who have not submitted vouchers within five working days after the traveler returns and the respective command travel coordinators and shall follow up with travelers and or travel program coordinators to obtain the reason/justification for a late submission.
  • Collect travel-related data to substantiate weekly reports on USPACFLT HQ process and procedure improvements associated with the Defense Travel System and the Government Travel Credit Card program and maintain the database(s) associated with the travel program.
  • Monitor the Compliance Tool Program and ensure Compliance cases are resolved.
  • Monitor the Centrally Billed Account (CBA) for open invoices and prepare and reconcile the CBA for Acknowledgement.
  • Process Cross-Organization Line of Accounting (LOA) requests and maintain the Cross-Org request form in the local shared drive folder.
  • Process DTS Budget increases and decreases upon receipt only after the accompanying accounting system adjustment has been made.
  • Complete Government-sponsored training and provide certificates within five days after access to Government information systems

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of five years’ experience working with training, personnel, travel, and/or budget management.
  • Civilian personnel management experience.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of SLDCADA and DCPDS.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
  • Must have a Secret Clearance.
