Alakaina Family of Companies is Hiring a Project Management Specialist (MID) Near Navy Yard, DC

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Project Management Specialist to provide support to the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command’s(NAVWAR’s) Program Executive Office (PEO) for Manpower, Digital out of the National Capital Region (NCR). The PEO MLB program encompasses Administrative, Total Force Management Support, and Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Support, Command Operations, and Support, and IT Management Support services.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the completion of tasks to support business operations.
  • Provide facilities management support for the assigned Government organization including coordinating activities to resolve facilities issues and answer the telephone during normal working hours when present in the Government office.
  • Manage classified materials as directed by the Government, implementing security-related measures and controls for the assigned Government organization in accordance with local and federal policies and procedures for managing classified material.
  • Login/logout all classified materials inventory in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Maintain classified material files in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Route classified material to organizations as directed within the TO.
  • Ensure classified material is properly handled, stored, and secured in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all DoD, DON, and local security governance concerning the handling and storage of classified material.
  • Provide comments, questions, and recommendations to improve security practices and procedures.
  • Provide support for program protection and strategic security planning activities.
  • Conduct Clearance Compliance Inspections, which includes collecting contractor personnel clearance data.
  • Review security clearance levels for contractor personnel to ensure contractor personnel possess the required clearance level for assigned positions.
  • Validate the accuracy of security clearance data for contractor personnel.
  • Coordinate corrections for inaccurate clearance data, report analyses and discrepancies to the Government, and assist stakeholders with strategies to mitigate and resolve risks associated with inaccurate clearances.
  • Assist the Contract Security Oversight Manager with conducting communication security (COMSEC) review inspections.
  • Assist the Contract Security Oversight Manager with conducting cyber-IT/cybersecurity workforce (CSWF) personnel compliance inspections of contractor personnel, which involves activities such as:
    • Collecting contractor position description data.
    • Assessing contractor position assignments with cyber-IT and enhanced user CSWF requirements to ensure positions are sufficiently identified, tracked, and compliance with CSWF requirements and compliant with security requirements (e.g. identified and coded correctly, background checks/adjudications are verified, etc.)
    • Validating contractor personnel with network access have the correct background investigation for the required cyber-IT level reporting findings and discrepancies and assisting stakeholders with strategies to mitigate and resolve risks associated with inaccurate clearances.
  • Assist the Contract Security Oversight Manager with conducting Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) compliance inspections.
  • Provide physical security support for the assigned Government organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years’ experience. Substitution: 6 years of additional relevant work experience OR Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience.

CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Active SECRET clearance required.
