Position Summary. Under the general direction of a Supervisor or Lead, performs a variety of sub-professional duties and work related to the operation, maintenance, fabrication, and alteration of facilities and equipment in the plumbing field at a skilled level.
Major Job Activities:

Qualifications:
Education. High school graduate or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of a military or recognized trade school or correspondence course or have a minimum of 4 years apprenticeship or equivalent work experience.
Experience. A minimum of 2 years of specific work experience in the specific field required. Must be capable of acquiring the skill and knowledge of proper and safe use of tools and equipment associated with the various trades. Must demonstrate ability to comprehend and follow instructions verbally or from written documents, drawings, or blueprints at a level necessary for satisfactory job performance. Able to work in and around sewage treatment and disposal areas. Prefer applicant to have Hawaii certificate for water system operator or back flow prevention. Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses for forklifts up to 8 tons and stake trucks up to 5 tons. Must have a valid Hawaii Drivers License.
Training. Asbestos and Lead Awareness, Information Assurance, Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Standard Training, Safe Drinking Water, Stairways and Ladders, and Backflow Prevention.
Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
