Nashville’s Anheuser-Busch Distributor, Ajax Turner Company, is hiring a Custodian/ Facilities Specialist to join its Facilities team. Ajax Turner Company, founded in 1961, is a multi-generational, family owned and operated business located in La Vergne between Murfreesboro and Downtown Nashville. Ajax Turner Company proudly distributes and represents Anheuser-Busch, top selling local, regional and import brewers, premium non-alcoholic beverages, and a great selection of award-winning wines and spirits from all over the world.

Our Facility is just over 10 years old and we take great pride in keeping the office, warehouse, and grounds in superb condition. 

SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 7:00am- 4:00pm. These hours can flex depending on business needs.

PAY:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning the physical structures, the yard, and dock areas of the facility to provide an attractive, clean work environment
• Vacuuming, sweeping, moping and dusting entire office area
• Emptying trash and cleaning restrooms
• Performing general yard work (cleans, picks up trash, cuts grass, maintains gardens)
• Maintaining parking areas, keeping them free of trash
• Cleaning general warehouse areas
• Changing light bulbs and air conditioner filters in office / warehouse areas
• Doing minor building repair and painting as needed
• Completing other duties as requested
• Fulfilling pre-established programs and objectives set by management
• Complying with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Demonstrating the ATCO's mission, vision, and values in all responsibilities

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required, technical education a plus
• Valid driver’s license required
• Good cleaning techniques and floor buffing skills
• Ability to bend, twist, squat and pull/push equipment throughout shift and meet all physical requirements
• Working knowledge of the chemicals being used in this custodial position
• Excellent safety record and understands the importance of workplace safety
• Possesses a hands on, do it right the first-time approach
• Friendly, courteous, works well with others, and maintains a professional appearance
• Self motivated with an attentiveness to details and a positive can-do attitude
• Ability to work flexible hours, occasional weekend work is expected
• Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Has enthusiasm for the job with have a willingness to learn
• Assumes responsibility for personal development and training
• Has a strong commitment to customer service with the ability to effectively work in a team environment
