We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work alongside the Chief Financial Officer and lead the day-to-day accounting functions

We are growing! We need your help to effectively perform a variety of accounting functions including G/L Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Payroll and more. This role reports directly to the CFO and will be a great opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment and grow professionally with the business.

Who you are

An experience Senior Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day accounting function. You have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master’s Degree and/or CPA licensed is a plus
• 3 years’ of experience either in public accounting or in a complex organization with responsibility for a variety of accounting functions
• Prior payroll experience is not required as long as there is a willingness to learn
• An energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive approach to work
• Process improvement mindset always looking for opportunities to increase efficiency
• Strong desire to learn, asks a lot of questions and seeks to understand
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks or other similar accounting systems
• Willingness to roll-up your sleeves and do the work with the attitude that no job is too big or too small
• Strong attention to detail, understand the importance of reviewing own work for accuracy
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

 What you’ll do

• Lead monthly GL close including journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Accounts payable function including review and entry of invoices into accounting system, obtaining appropriate approvals and initiating payment
• Ownership of expense reporting software and making sure expense reports are submitted timely with appropriate support
• Accounts receivable function including monthly billings and timely collections of customer balances
• Manage cashflow including daily cash reconciliation and preparation of rolling cash-flow forecast
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll in payroll system; collaborate with human resources to make sure that payroll is accurate
• Ad-hoc requests including those from external accounting firm, benefits and insurance providers, Federal and State governments, and more
