Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for job opening for BC and AB and assign (and assist with) construction billing in the finance team.
• Assist the Maintenance of books of account (including but not limited to preparing checks, coding and posting invoices, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations).
• Involved in full cycle month end activities (including but not limited to general accounting records and GL maintenance) in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Liaise with various departments to ensure accuracy and timely recording of financial information, resolve any issue where required.
• Provide back up on the issuance of checks / payment of invoices.
• Maintain General ledgers and prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements end financial reports.
• Assist with the process employee expense claims – Reconcile receipts and credit card statements monthly.
• Creates and maintains jobs in the financial system.
• Assist with the reconcile bank statements and vendor/customer accounts.
• Complete monthly intercompany reconciliation for all accounts
• Strives for continuous improvement of procedures and processes pertaining to the monthly accounting close
• Perform additional ad-hock analysis and reporting, as requested. Other duties and analysis as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:
A minimum of two years’ experience in full cycle accounting functions

• Interest in entering (or has entered) the CPA designation is an asset.
• Strong Analytical skills which involves financial analysis, key trends analysis and business case analysis.
• Experience with a fully integrated accounting system such as Great Plains or JD Edwards.
• Team player with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Self-starter with effective organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented problem-solver with strong MS Excel and MS Word skills.
