Due to our volume of work, we are looking for several Tile Installers to join our team.
Scope of Work
In this job, you will use your skills to complete Tile Installer Tasks at various job sites. If you are able to fulfill the requirements of a Tile Installer, you too could be a part of the team.
This is a full-time, hourly role that requires you to be able to present in person to the jobsite reliably and on time.
Tile Installers are required to have their own basic tools to complete their job duties.
Qualifications
● Must have tile installation experience and able to successfully complete the following:
- Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
- Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels
- Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
- Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
- Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
- Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
- Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
- Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
- Must have reliable transportation to job site(s)
- Must pass pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week & some weekends
- Must be willing to work in Durango, Farmington & Pagosa. Primary work area is in Durango, CO.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing approximately 90 lbs., climb and work ladders, bend, stoop, and work around wood dust
Compensation
● $20-35/hour
