Aidaly is Hiring a Head of Product Near San Francisco, CA

In 2020, unpaid family caregivers provided an estimated 34 billion hours of care, worth over $470 billion to the economy. COVID-19 devastated our care infrastructure, and millions left the workforce to provide care in home. As baby boomers age into retirement and increase demand for home care services, quality care becomes harder for families to find and afford. Now more than ever, families are compelled to provide increasingly complex care in the home as a safer, more affordable option for long-term care.
At Aidaly, we're on a mission to reimagine in-home care for our most vulnerable populations. Our unique model puts family caregivers at the center of care delivery and addresses SDoH from within the household. Aidaly provides family caregivers with the training, support, and compensation they need to deliver high-quality care in the home. With a combination of technology & human support, Aidaly’s platform empowers families to keep their loved ones living in their homes and communities longer while filling a critical homecare workforce need.
We’re backed with $8.5m in Seed funding from a world-class group of investors, including SevenSevenSix, Scribble Ventures, Operator Partners, Primetime Partners, Precursor, and many angels with deep fintech and healthcare experiences.
To reach our next stage of growth, we are looking for a leader who can align a product roadmap and mentor a lean technical team to achieve our business goals. This is a role for a strategic player-coach who will thrive on the opportunity to shape our customer experience, build process, and product strategy. You’ll love this role if you’re passionate about our mission, knowing everything you build helps a family caregiver actually get paid for the work they're already doing.
You'll need to be excited about working closely with our small-but-mighty operations teams to deeply understand the nuances across regions and health plans as we expand into new markets. You will want to talk to and deeply empathize with our caregivers, understanding not only their day-to-day lives and needs, but also the needs of those for whom they care. You'll have the chance to work directly with the CEO and Founder to translate her vision into a product roadmap that drives quantifiable growth. If this sounds exciting to you, let's talk.

What you'll do

  • Own the product vision and roadmap
  • Focus on mapping the ideal user journey for caregivers and requirements of B2B partners to develop a roadmap
  • Within your first 4 months, you will conduct a needs assessment, deliver mocks for a mobile and web application, and create a resource plan so we understand the tools and people you'll need to deliver on the product vision and roadmap
  • This is a 0-1 opportunity. You will balance moving quickly with implementing foundational development processes: User research, writing product requirements, creating and maintaining a backlog, retros, etc.
  • Figure out your north star metrics and report on them regularly
  • Oversee all stages of product creation including user research, design, and development with an eye toward growing our customer base
  • Collaborate with the marketing and onboarding teams to ensure interventions across the customer lifecycle are aligned and optimized
  • Ensure you constantly communicate, prioritize, and reprioritize to make sure we’re building the right things in the right sequence, and shipping high-quality features on time
  • Operate with and make recommendations about our customer- and internal-facing tech stacks: we need to prioritize a modern, digital/mobile customer-centric user experience, the right payment solutions, compliance (HIPAA, etc.), and operational excellence when it comes to surfacing the right customer data at the right time with the right communication tools to support our caregivers

Who you are

  • You've done this before. You have come into an early environment with an MVP and scaled it into something consumers love. You've seen fast scale and built teams from 1 - 20 in a year. You might have been an Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Head of Growth, or Product Owner previously.
  • You set the bar when it comes to driving a lean culture and agile pace. You have tremendous initiative. You deliver consistently and on-time. You know how to prioritize features to deliver the most impact. You are a strong communicator, stakeholder manager, and you make your team's work visible to the company. You have numbers to back up your stories.
  • You're a player-coach. You enjoy mentoring younger talent and you understand sometimes you have to roll up your sleeves yourself.
  • You are a social entrepreneur who wants to grow your career alongside the company. You have ambitions to be a CTO or CPO of a highly impactful business and see your story unfolding at Aidaly.
  • In the technical realm, you're a Swiss army knife. You know some code, you know when low/no-code or off the shelf tools make sense, you have created product roadmaps before, you love slicing and dicing data, and you run a tight operational process.
  • You LOVE our customers. Maybe you know a caregiver or have caregiving experiences yourself. You immerse yourself in their worlds to understand their pain and needs deeply. You understand they have limited time and a lot of stress. You turn that insight into experiences that make our customers feel known, supported, relieved, recharged, and joyful.
  • The world of FinTech and Healthcare fascinates you. You love the idea of incentives and have found a few that work. You don't let regulations stop your progress. You have a competitive eye and pulse on industry trends.
  • Preferred location in the San Francisco Bay area.
At Aidaly, we offer competitive compensation and equity incentives. As a member of team Aidaly, you will have the opportunity to drive impact in your community and gain exposure to all functions of a growing business. Our team is high output and high trust; we care deeply about each other and invest in each other's growth and development.
If you take pride in getting things done, have healthy and positive communication skills, and have a passion for helping underserved families, we encourage you to apply.
The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required for the position. Aidaly provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or disability.
