The wound care RN communicates and collaborates closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide consistent quality care for patients with wounds. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients to plan implement and evaluate the care for all chronic wound patients.
Applies appropriate theory as a basis for decisions regarding nursing practice. Provides the patient with care that is continuously evaluated, planned for and revised as needed. The patient’s status is documented within the reassessment, patient care needs, interventions to meet the patients needs, nursing care provided, the patients response to and the outcome of the care provided. Documentation is clear, concise, and includes but is not limited to patient evaluations, status, care needs, intervention, outcome and re-assessment.
Two (2) years’ experience in acute care nursing. Experience in ambulatory care setting highly desirable. Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification. ACLS Certification. Strong ability to manage numerous tasks and people at the same time is frequently required to perform the essential functions of this job.
