Overview
Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is searching for a MRI Technologist for our MRI Department. The position is a Per Diem and for Variable shifts. Monterey Park Hospital is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years.
Responsibilities
The MRI Tech candidate will be efficient in operating MRI equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direct supervision of the Radiologist. The MRI Tech will explain procedures to the patient, provides comfort, positioning and immobilizing the patient on the exam table. The MRI Tech will set scan parameters, monitor video display of the area being scanned and adjust density or contrast to improve image quality. The MRI Tech will review and evaluate computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Use of safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Qualifications
CRT, ARRT-MRI, or ARMRIT/MRI Certification required.
Minimum of 1 year MRI experience preferred.
Current AHA BLS certification required.
Additional Information:
All persons offered employment must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including the COVID Booster, by the date of hire, unless qualified for an exemption for a medical reason or religious belief. Proof of vaccination acceptable to the Facility is required before you may begin work.
