Job Title: Corporate Business Strategies Controller

Salary: $50,000 – $72,500 annually

Overview of Responsibilities for the ideal Candidate:

  • Liaison between Executive Leadership and the following MEBA Departments
    • Accounting
    • Accounts Payable
    • YARDI Software/IT
    • HR/Payroll
    • Corporate Compliance Management
  • Works closely with the Director of Administration & Director of Asset Management with in-house and outsourced training programs which are offered to each team member applicable to their position
  • Assist and works with the MEBA leadership team in designing marketing material which is required for affordable housing applications, new business and events where MEBA housing participates in. (i.e. banners, flyers, digital communication, etc.)
  • Assist with ensuring all reporting and supporting documentation is gathered for owners
  • Assist with owner / client relationships
  • Assist with company policies related to matters such as regulation of property management and marketing of affordable housing sites, operations, safety and property maintenance standards
  • Assist with preparing the transition of new management assignments
  • Any other task as assigned

Normal Hours:

  • Minimum of 40 hours per week will be required
  • Work Schedule will be Monday through Friday
  • Work location office and remotely

As the ideal candidate, your background includes:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with outside partners, vendors and other contacts, clients and all levels of employees
  • Strong verbal and written communicator, detail orientated, self-motivated, creative and team problem solver
  • Must be able to interact comfortably with high-level staff, executives, clients and must be able to act appropriately and make sound decisions
  • Proficient with Google suite, (Drive, Docs, Sheets etc.)
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and complete projects with competing deadlines

Staff Relations:

  • Reports to Managing Member/Principal and any others who may be assigned
  • Works in harmony and collaboratively with the department team members, accounting, and site teams
  • Fosters a professional image in all aspects of customer service and property management

Language Skills:

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both large and small group settings
  • Experience in producing and explaining reports for Clients, MEBA Owners, Regional Managers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and phone skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrates and fosters MEBA core purpose

  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualification:

  • Project and/or Organizational management experience
  • Experience in multifamily property management
  • Familiar with utilizing Yardi software to develop KPI’s and to communicate to Owners, new clients and team members
