Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team of medical professionals in our Urgent Care center in Texas. As a member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

· Performing physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent, and non-urgent presentation

· Selecting, ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.

· Analyzing reports and findings of tests to diagnose patients.

· Prescribing or administering treatment, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.

· Referring patients to PCP or specialist as appropriate

· Performing procedures including laceration repair, I & D's, IV's, removal of foreign bodies, splinting, and ear irrigations

· Explaining procedures, discussing test results, and prescribing treatments with patients

· Documenting findings and treatment course in patient electronic medical record including follow-up notes

· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge base for medical conditions and injuries that may present to an urgent care setting.

Qualified Candidates:

· Must have ability to work independently.

• Board certified.
• Has a Texas state medical licensure and DEA.

· Excellent bedside manner.

• Ability to perform first reads on x-rays.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, splints, etc.), and reading EKGs.
• A minimum of 2 years recent experience as a NP or PA in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care, treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) a plus.

· Knowledge of Occupational Health and Workers Comp preferred.
