Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will develop relationships with prospects and grow accounts in respective markets through the promotion and selling of Aeronet Worldwide, Inc services. YOU ARE SELF DRIVEN AND ACCOUNTABLE You show autonomy, initiative, and persistence in scheduling calls/meetings with prospects, and then do what you say you will do. You understand that managing the day-to-day responsibilities in a timely, diligent, and efficient manner is key for the success of Aeronet as a whole.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

Within the first 30 days and ongoing:

  • Learns Aeronets mission, core values, vision, operations, policies, and procedures.
  • In the first 30 days meets with and builds rapport with coworkers to learn more about the company culture.
  • Learns Aerotrac system, used for tracking shipments, to gain an understanding of how shipments move as well as how they are tracked, coordinated, and invoiced.
  • Sales goals and expectations will be discussed with each new Business Development Manager.

By 3 months and ongoing:

  • Shows drive and initiative to take on more responsibility and learn additional aspects of the business outside of current day to day responsibilities.
  • Develops client relationships with multiple departments to cross sell available products and services to bring in more business month over month.
  • Continues to lead conversations that bring in business with prospective/existing clients and expands their understanding of Aeronets services and capabilities.
  • Achieves increased revenue goals that have been established and agreed upon from the start.

By 6 months and ongoing:

  • Finds new and innovative networking events/groups to attend/join to help continue building a robust pipeline of high potential leads.
  • Exhibits a can-do attitude and takes the initiative to collaborate with others to help achieve goals and resolve issues with a positive outlook.
  • Shows the ability to be a servant leader within the organization and has created trust with coworkers.
  • Continues to achieve increased revenue goals that have been established and agreed upon from the start.

By 12 month and ongoing:

  • Anticipates and proactively resolves potential shipping issues/risks regularly.
  • Potentially becomes a mentor to other sales professionals internally and provides peer to peer coaching and support.
  • Is a trusted resource and fully follows and supports Aeronets processes and is seen as a go-to for questions for prospects, clients, and staff.
  • Continues to meet and exceed increased revenue goals that have been established and agreed upon from the start.


EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of sales experience in Logistics required (IMPORT, AIR, OCEAN) highly preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, & Outlook & strong typing abilities (min 40WPM) required
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
  • Confident and polished presentation skills required
  • Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and collaborates with the team to manage deadlines required
  • Is able to pass a drug screening test and background check with TSA requirements required
  • Able to thrive in a flexible, dynamic, fast paced environment preferred
