Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer for our Atlanta, Georgia office. Working with other members on developing High Performance HVAC design (net-zero energy and carbon) for use across AECOM.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Design, including drafting, of mechanical systems for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems including engineering related calculations and development of drawings.
- Develop system narratives
- Review / Edit Specifications
- QA/QC of Mechanical designs
- Working under supervision of a department leader
- Able to manage teams and projects with minimal supervision
- Assist in proposal development

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and eight (8) plus years of related experience, which includes experience and skills in mechanical systems building design, project management, and team leadership
- Eight (8) plus years experience and an understanding of Mechanical/HVAC systems for federal, corporate, and commercial.
- Energy Modeling (e.g. Trane Trace, IES, EnergyPlus, etc.) - Six (6) years minimum for one.
- AutoCAD and Revit experience - 4 years experience minimum for each
Additional Information
Preferred Qualifications :
- Registered professional engineer (PE)
- 10 years of related HVAC design
