Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects under a multi-disciplinary program management office for a utility client in California. The PM manages all aspects of execution, including project and construction management of individual projects.
This position will primarily support the SDG&E undergrounding program, an exciting and best-in-class program management opportunity utilizing innovative technical methods and collaborative partnerships to reduce wildfire risk to communities. The program is a multi-year, multi-billion dollar program with significant opportunity for growth and impact
The successful candidate will have:
Strong working knowledge of utility and transmission distribution in California
Strong interpersonal, organizational, creating problem-solving, collaboration and leadership skills
Experience leading a multi-disciplinary and diverse team of professionals
Experience managing large, complex projects in multiple locations
Ability to apply acquired expertise and knowledge to solve business challenges
Experience successfully coaching peers and team members
A track record of leveraging relationships to expand work with existing clients, identify new clients and recruit and retain in-house staff
Duties of the position include but not limited to:
Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in moderately sized projects with moderate risk, complexity, and financial impact.
Manages and leads all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes and tools.
May include management of small teams across business lines, in remote locations and/or management of subcontractors.
Manages projects on a local to regional basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.
Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project.
Acts as primary point of contact with client.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Electrical or Civil Engineering or closely related field
6 Years of Relevant Experience, including management of infrastructure projects including electrical distribution and/or distributed energy resources
Preferred Requirements:
10 Years of Relevant Experience
Project and client management experience including management of multiple projects of significant scope and complexity.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Master’s degree in technical or business discipline
Experience with regional and national utilities, independent system operators (ISOs) and regulatory agencies
Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects and/or programs with high quality on schedule and within scope and budget.

Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $106,800.34 - $197,580.63 annually exempt.
