AE Works is actively seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our team. Individuals who are qualified for this position shall possess the ability to work directly with clients and lead the design discussion during presentations and project meetings, shall have excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical/problem solving skills, lead and work within a multi-discipline team setting and be able to work in a scheduled, driven, and challenging environment.

Role and Responsibilities for Position:

• Lead the successful pursuit of new work in conjunction with firm leadership
• Champion architectural design relevance within the firm thru mentorship and training
• Travel with team members for onsite collaboration, investigations, and project presentations
• Lead clients and our internal multi-disciplinary design teams of architects and engineers through planning, design, and construction administration for new and renovation building projects
• Produce high quality deliverables for clients at all stages of design
• Deep understanding of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures

Technical Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university
• RA registration in VA, MD, DC, PA or other reciprocal state
• 10 years of industry experience
• Recent design experience in areas of federal, healthcare, senior care, higher education, commercial, public safety, and/or local governmental projects
• Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration
