Apparel Quality Control Specialist
Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Control Specialist to join their team at garment factories in the Los Angeles and neighboring areas. The ideal candidate will ensure that all garments produced meet the company's quality standards and customer requirements. This role involves monitoring the production process In-Line and at Final, inspecting finished garments and identifying any defects or issues that may arise.
Key Results Area
Ensuring that all finished garments meet customer specifications and delivered on time
Conducting visual inspections of garments at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards
Reviewing and analyzing production reports to identify recurring quality issues and develop solutions to improve quality
Communicating with production staff to ensure that quality standards are understood and followed
Identifying and reporting any quality issues or defects and working with the production team to resolve them
Working with the team to maintain accurate records of production and quality control activities
Providing training and support to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices
Understanding of AQL 2.5 Level of Production
Identify DQA at the factory who can mirror and conduct daily production pre-final OQL inspection.
Working with the factory and 3rd Party Inspectors at Final Inspection
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control in a garment factory setting
Knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or quality issues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
English/Spanish/Chinese speaking is helpful but optional
Traveling to multiple factory locations is required
Compensation/Benefits:
The approximate hourly rate range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
