Traffic Control Supervisor
Role Summary
Our client is looking for a Traffic Control Supervisor to join their high-growth and fast-paced organization, providing final-mile distribution services for large eCommerce companies. The ideal candidate has strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and excellent time management skills.
Key Results Areas
Training, performance reviews, and scheduling for all reporting Transportation Control Specialist
Monitor all Transportation Management System entries
Send both emergency and non-emergency alerts and emails
Navigate tractors, trailers, and con-gears through GPS
Facility load plans monitoring
Complete all reports; including safety, service, and cost recaps
Weekly and daily conference calls with vendors, service expectations, and failures notifications
Effectively track loads through GPS software
Call out service for breakdowns and complete breakdown reports
Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist coordinators in problem resolution
Oversight of compliance-related items
Timely reconciliation of pickups in TMS
Send out serviced alerts and ETAs to the network
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Operations Research preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience working with TMS in a supervisory role
Strong business analysis skills, understanding, and usage of statistical algorithms, inventory optimization concepts awareness of tactical planning on the overall supply chain required
Excellent computer skills, especially MS Word and Excel
Able to work well under pressure and with limited oversight
