Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their high-growth and fast-paced organization, providing final mile distribution services for large eCommerce companies. The ideal candidate has good time management skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
Key Results Area
Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the company safety program
Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep our operations running smoothly, responding promptly to all material handling systems breakdown
Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems
Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts
Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment
Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned
Daily inspections of machinery for potential problems
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance
Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties
Knowledge of Material Handling Systems, industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, and electronic motors
Knowledge of LOTO (lock out tag out), PMs (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work
Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints
Mechanical and electrical work experience
Industrial electrical knowledge a plus
Knowledge of OSHA requirements
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24 hr. Operations
Ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis
