Maintenance Technician I
Role Summary
Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician I to join their values-based, customer-oriented, high-growth, and fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate has good time management skills and the ability to work independently or as a team member.
Key Results Area
Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to the company’s policies and procedures
Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep our operations running smoothly, responding promptly to all material handling systems breakdowns
Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems
Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts
Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment
Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other housekeeping duties as assigned
Daily inspections of machinery for potential problems
Skills & Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED preferred
At least one year of related experience or training in mechanical and electrical equipment, or an equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience
Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties
Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, Electronic motors (480V)
Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PMs (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints
Mechanical and or electrical work experience
Industrial electrical knowledge a PLUS
Knowledge of OSHA requirements
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24hr. operations; occasionally work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis
