Graphic Designer

Job Snapshot

We seek a graphic designer with a strong understanding of basic design principles. Projects for this position include printed marketing & advertising pieces, preparing digital files for print and web design. A basic understanding of web design, especially WordPress, is preferred. HTML knowledge is not required but beneficial.

Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; primarily Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. This position may collaborate with other graphic designers and marketing coordinator based on the project at hand.

Responsibilities as needed:

  • Prepare layouts for promotional imprints
  • Prepare virtual mock ups
  • Logo creation & concept development
  • Vectorizing art to meet production requirements
  • Design layouts for advertisements, marketing brochures, apparel, and trade show displays
  • Design and update websites and webstores
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to create and update in-house flyers
  • Contribute creative concepts for both in-house and client marketing projects
  • Design and edit email specials via iContact
  • Photograph, edit, and upload product photos for client webstores
  • Review printers’ proofs before production
  • Follow and uphold brand guidelines
  • Clearly communicate project status with account executives

Skills & Requirements

  • Some formal training in graphic design preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, WordPress
  • Ability to create clean, accurate layouts as instructed
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Conduct business with clients, suppliers and coworkers in a professional manner
