Advanced Systems Design is Hiring a Business Intelligence Developer - 1747 Near Montgomery, AL

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

Job Overview:

The Business Intelligence Developer will build, configure and maintain the State of Alabama Power BI platform for Enterprise Accounting and Human Resources systems. Must be able to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs.

Technical Environment: Server 2016, 2019 SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.2

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with Enterprise-Level Reporting/Business Intelligence experience
  • 5 years of IT work experience in software development, installation, and modification in an online environment
  • Must be able to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to analyze data and build appropriate data warehouse structures for performance-based Power BI report improvement
  • Experience in MS Power BI connection types (Oracle direct, Azure SQL data warehouse, ODBC), configurations, and data flow (power query)
  • Experience in administering Power BI permissions, roles, security, and securing data layers based on specific identifiers such as role and/or agency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in analyzing data for fact vs dimensional data configurations
  • Experience with Accounting or H/R-based Power BI reporting structures
  • Experience with Accounting or H/R-based Enterprise Reporting/Business Intelligence report development
  • Experience with CGI Advantage 3.10, 3.11, 4.0 data structures
  • Related Microsoft Certifications are a plus

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
