Job Summary

The Production Manager will actively lead production in the manufacturing organization to ensure that products produced meet all customer requirements in the areas of performance and quality. Additionally, the Production Manager will ensure that products are manufactured within budget and on schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Key Metrics of labor efficiency, delivery performance, and first time quality (reducing scrap and customer returns).
• Actively participate in and sponsor Lean Manufacturing initiatives throughout the operations organization as a whole.
• Develop, deploy, and sustain effective processes to ensure maximum utilization of material and people resources
• Apply continuous improvement techniques in all areas.
• Develop a responsive manufacturing organization with clearly defined authority, responsibility, and goals.
• Assist in attracting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating all personnel required to implement the product groups manufacturing plans, programs, and strategies.
• Provide support to all levels of employees and monitor the workplace for compliance with safety requirements and practices.
• Identify and introduce capital equipment to improve direct labor efficiency and overall ROI.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have superb planning and leadership skills.

• Ability to collaborate and lead high performance teams in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Exposure to or experience with quality control process and approaches – such as ISO 9000, Six-Sigma, Toyota Production Systems, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with compliance and certification requirements in a variety of industries – UL, CE, BA, FDA, FCC, et al.
