Addison Residential is a family owned Design/ Build & Custom Cabinetry company in Middlebury, VT. Working throughout the Northeastern U.S. we provide planning, management and building services for new homes, additions and renovations as well as designing and building bespoke cabinetry, furniture and millwork.

Architectural Designer – Addison Residential

We are a growing residential design/build company located in Middlebury, Vermont and are looking to add an Architectural Designer to our growing team. Our projects include but are not limited to residential renovations, additions, and turnkey custom home builds.

Position Qualifications –

- 3 years of architectural drafting experience preferred.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD. Sketchup and 3D modeling experience a plus.

- Working knowledge of current building, energy codes and good framing practices.

- Great communication skills and a willingness to work within a collaborative environment.

Position Responsibilities –

- Work alongside fellow clients, builders, designers, and architects to help develop schematic design drawings as well as full construction drawing sets.

- Aid and provide information to builders and team members in the field.

- Assist clients in designing and understanding their project through the entire build.

- Visit existing jobsites and take accurate as-built measurements to create drawings of existing conditions.

Our office environment is collaborative and therefore it requires the right candidate for this position to be in office during the work week. It is a full time, 40 hour a week position with overtime as needed. Our employment benefits include paid time off, paid holidays and health insurance.
