General
The Executive Chef is a vital role at Addiction Recovery Care. At its core, the Executive Chef is responsible for the consistent preparation of innovative and creative cuisine of the highest quality, presentation, and flavor. Additionally, responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and managing areas of profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices, and training within the kitchen.

Qualifications

● High School Diploma or GED required. 

● BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate preferred

● Proven working experience as a Head Chef

● Excellent record of kitchen management

General Duties

● Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities

● Modifying menus or create new ones that meet quality standards under the umbrella ofARC

● Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs

● Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities

● Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs

● Supervise kitchen staff’s activities

● Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

● Recruit and manage kitchen staff

● Rectify arising problems or complaints

● Give prepared plates the “final touch”

● Perform administrative duties

● Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

● Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

● Creating an ARC Catering business line for internal and external use (Weddings atJunction)

● Creating a hospitality/food industry certification program/training
