Senior Security Engineer

The Sr. Security Engineer, Infrastructure & Security Engineering is responsible for the Security engineering and operations of AHCO, responsible for monitoring, identifying and mitigating security incidents while ensuring network and security best practices are followed throughout the organization. The Senior Security Engineer will lead efforts to prevent and remediate cyber security incidents and reduce overall risk, impact and exposure for the company.

Job Duties:

• Managing, monitoring, and configuring the organization’s Security Tools, to identify incidents, network intrusions, malware events, etc.; monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing log files to report unusual or suspect activities.
• Recommend and implement controls and configurations aligned with security policies, legal, regulatory, and audit requirements.
• Assessing existing security posture and recommending areas of continuous improvements.
• Researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities to identify security incidents
• Recommend security best practices
• Maintain and support the continued accuracy and exercise of the Disaster Recover Planning and Cyber Incidence Response Planning for the company
• Assist in establishment and testing of a data classification policy in alignment with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
• Maintains security system related procedures for security applications
• Leads the security vulnerability and remediation efforts
• Maintains security software licensing for authorized security application.
• Performs analysis on new applications for security related issues and recommend remediations.
• Participates on security committees and provides consultation relating to security issues.
• Ensures AdaptHealth is proactively addressing security and resolving security incidents when implementing new and/or changing existing data, telecommunications, and application and network solutions.
• Aids in the develops and implement strategies for establishing network connections for access to wireless networks and patient data systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA
• Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
• Maintains compliant with Adapt Health’s Compliance Program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Responsible for assisting in the selection of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing regular feedback.
• Coaching, and mentoring team members, enforcing security, policies, procedures, and productivity standards

Competency, Skills and Abilities:

• Expertise with security services and security application including but not limited to Rapid7, Crowstrike, and Zscaler as well as Azure Security, Windows and *nix operating systems
• Cloud Infrastructure management technologies, storage, backup technology, disaster recovery, WAN/LAN hardware and protocols, data security, routers, and switches
• Excellent logical thought processes are required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership Skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite

Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 15 years equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Five (5) years’ experience in the field of security engineering experience leading technology delivery and agile coaching
• Possession of a CISSP certification
