Description
Perform problem solving processes and design functions for all areas of manufacturing. Research equipment, material, and process used to create work piece. Act as liaison between manufacturing services and production to resolve any product related issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Design and order fixtures and functional gages.
· Create 3-D models and process prints for assigned jobs.
· Updates documents and files as necessary, including work instructions.
· Implement 3D printing technology for rapid development of workholding and protypes.
· Provide manufacturing support, optimization, and troubleshooting for assigned jobs, projects, and customers.
· Interact with quality department and customer to resolve inspection and quality issues.
· Research latest technologies in manufacturing engineering (workholding, 3-D printing, CAD software, etc) and implement as necessary.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering and two years industry experience, preferably in aircraft manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer aided drafting (CAD), Unigraphics II, Microsoft Project and Office computer program literacy, and experience using calipers, micrometers, and measuring equipment are required to perform the duties of this position.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form.
