We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing global Finance & Accounting team. The team supports company’s operations world-wide, and you will be responsible for assigned tasks for the US and all international locations.

What you will do:

  • Review, reconcile and record data from payroll reports prepared by third party payroll providers.
  • Reconcile and ensure accuracy of payroll-related tax payments.
  • Prepare and record required payroll-related accruals.
  • Calculate and book monthly and quarterly commission accruals ensuring the entries are accurately calculated and appropriately supported.
  • Review initial A/P document input prepared by staff accountant and payment runs.
  • Perform period-end closing of the general ledger including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare, reconcile and record intercompany journal entries.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation for key accounting policies and procedures, including internal controls.
  • Proactively evaluate and implement improvements to processes and procedures where appropriate.
  • Prepare audit deliverables on a timely basis and complete process walkthroughs with both internal and external auditors clearly communicating process risks and controls.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills and effectively prioritize competing responsibilities with minimal oversight; ensure deliverables are completed timely.

You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience working for international companies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, trusted relationships with team members.
  • Exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Technologically savvy with excellent Excel skills.
  • Dependable and can be counted upon to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to details.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Open to a hybrid work model consisting of remote and in the office work at one of our offices in North America (either Seattle or Ottawa or Montreal).

For this role, the salary range is $79,000- $100,000 annually. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job and may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant elements.

At Acumatica, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
