Overview

Acuity is looking for a Data Architect to join our Engineering Team. In this position, you will provide advanced technical expertise associated with the design, planning, deployment, and sustainment of cloud-based services and solutions while helping to inform and implement best data practices in line with enterprise data services.

Responsibilities

• Develop architecture and support deployment of capabilities in a cloud environment
• Support customer utilization of large, complex, and disparate data sets and recommend solutions aligned to customer mission and task accomplishment
• Support the design and implementation of innovative ways to analyze and exploit data in various environments using Databricks
• Solve difficult, non-routine problems by applying advanced analytical methodologies, and improving analytic methodologies and techniques
• Communicate and coordinate with internal and external partners and organizations as needed
• Design, document, and implement solutions for creating, migrating, and/or provisioning dynamic, enterprise-ready, cloud-based capabilities
• Guide senior leadership and technical support staff through the architecting of cloud-based data-centric environments, by identifying potential solutions, highlighting risks, preparing cost analyses, recommending courses of action, and implementing secure cloud capabilities to support customer needs
• Produce clear and concise documents and diagrams (e.g. technical data packages, architecture drawings, accreditation artifacts, logical diagrams, interconnection diagrams, etc.) that fully capture proposed and implemented technical solution details
• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting expertise, and focus to resolve complex technical problems

Qualifications

• Experience with developing and deploying ETL pipelines using Apache Spark
• Experience with distributed computing, such as Apache Spark and/or Databricks
• Experience in SQL and/or Spark SQL
• Experience with code versioning tools and a command of configuration management concepts and tools, CI/CD including DevOps.
• Experience working with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems, Information Systems

Clearnace Requirement:

• Must be US Citizen with an ability to obtain and maintain US Suitability
