Who are we?
We’re a rapidly growing team in the Silicon Valley construction space located in Campbell, California. We have a 30 year legacy in construction and our sole focus is on making a positive impact on the California housing crisis. At Acton, we design, navigate, and build premium, high quality accessory dwelling units (ADUs), also known as backyard homes or granny flats. 
Everyone of our ADUs is designed and built to a high standard, so homeowners are left with a long-term, high quality investment that could serve their community for multiple generations.
These ADUs help create accessible housing options for thousands across the Bay Area, while positively impacting people’s lives.

The role!
As an Acton ADU Construction Sales Representative, you’ll learn and focus your talents on providing a seamless experience from the first contact with a new customer, through the signing of an ADU Agreement. You’ll learn our proven, consultative sales approach and help guide people to make decisions, based on their personal needs and motivations. We’re not pushy, we help people get what they need.
You might be the perfect fit for our team if:
  • You’re a recent graduate with a technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Business but don’t feel that a traditional position in these fields is right for you.
  • You have a background in construction and love the customer interaction part of your job.

Your role on the team:
An Acton Construction Sales Representative works collaboratively with customers to deeply understand and provide creative solutions to their needs. A proven record of success in meeting customer expectations is essential. The ability to properly communicate and set expectations with customers, project management, designers, and production managers throughout each project is needed. The most successful candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and have strong relationship & referral building skills and are interested in learning the “technology” side of the business.
The ideal candidate wants to better themselves and the outlook for their family, and invest in a new skill. You are passionate about housing and the construction industry, and dream of being part of a high-energy and thriving work environment.
Expectations:
  • You will invest heavily in learning quickly. The skills you’ll learn are new, but quickly learnable.
  • You will indulge yourself in a Prospecting sales culture to create high quality leads that compliment marketing leads
  • You’ll follow our “Playbook” and master the individual skills to blend them all together.
  • You are a self starter and hungry for success - nothing will stop you.
Skills:
We provide extensive professional sales training, so you can sell consultatively with integrity. No arm-twisting sales techniques please. We have a proven system that works, so you simply need to follow our process.
  • Motivated, intelligent, want to succeed and build a career, open feedback and training 
  • Successful track record in customer satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed
  • Proficiency with technology (MS Office, Google Drive)
  • Hubspot Certified, experience or applicable CRM experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with team communication tools like Slack
  • Sandler Sales Training a plus
Remote Work:
This role is 100% remote and will utilize tools like Zoom, Hubspot, and Slack to be successful. There may be a limited amount of travel - the occasional trip to headquarters to meet the team and participate in the occasional team event. Of course, these trips are paid for by the company.
