JOB TITLE: Membership Sales and Marketing Coordinator

SALARY RANGE:$23 - $25 (DOE) Hourly Base Rate Plus Commissions

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with Active's Global Marketing Team, Director of Sales, and Site Management Team on initiatives to achieve new membership goals
• Support strategic marketing plans, promotional calendars, and collateral creation
• Provide marketing support across digital marketing platforms, including website, video, live chat, email, and social media to drive sales and improve the online consumer experience
• Manage various social media accounts to build brand awareness and community engagement
• Draft and distribute Member monthly e-newsletter to membership base and other materials to create traffic flow of prospective members
• Organize and execute various events including monthly member socials, open houses, holiday and corporate events, etc.
• Connect people in the broader community by creating sponsorship/partnership agreements and cultivating strategic cross-promotional relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations
• Coordinate and staff local outreach events to promote the Club's services and membership sales
• Actively develop leads for prospective members
• Develop relationships and encourage member referrals
• Respond to telephone and e-mail membership inquiries, booking and maintaining appointments for prospective members for virtual and in-person tours
• Provide prospective members with an enthusiastic and informative tour, educating educate prospective members on the benefits of health and wellness
• Present approved membership options and prices to prospective members
• Track and report daily leads and membership sales
• Prepare monthly marketing and sales report collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data
• Maintain and submit a commission log each pay period, including all necessary backup paperwork such as copies of membership applications
• Attend management meetings, training, and retreats
• Conduct new employee and quarterly staff safety trainings
• Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance
• Work as a TEAM with all other departments
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Other Functions

• Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness
• Promote club services and activities
• Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean
• Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings
• Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Previous health club personal training experience is a plus.
• AA degree or equivalent education and experience
• 2 years of sales experience
• Must be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills, customer service skills, results oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industry
• AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
• Proof of citizenship or legal status

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others
• Ability to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs
• Fitness club environment
• Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
