What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Merchandiser Full Time position at ActionLink?

ActionLink connects people with the brands they love inside the top big box retailers! Our merchandising specialists visit Best Buys, Walmarts, Targets, and Lowe’s just to name a few. Some of the client displays we build and maintain in these stores are Microsoft®, Samsung®, Bose®, among many others.
WHEN & WHERE:
- 32-40 hours per week with guaranteed scheduling minimum of 64 hours of pay per 2-week pay period
- Retail visits are scheduled and completed Mondays through Fridays, typically between stores’ opening hours and 5 or 6pm
- Visits are conducted at a variety of retailers within a 30 mile radius of Wichita, KS
- Best Buy at 2441 N Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67205 is the center of the territory radius
PAY & BENEFITS:
- This role operates on a 2-tiered pay rate system based on the specific in-store merchandising task being done:
- $15.00/hour for General Merchandising tasks - these are routine, visual maintenance assignments such as product stocking/placement, updating signage, auditing inventory, tidying up the display, basic endcaps, changeouts, etc.
- $17.00/hour for Merchandising Plus tasks - these are more advanced, technically involved assignments such as electronic device set ups/hook-ins, power functionality, display troubleshooting, interactive

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Travel within assigned field radius territory to complete store visits
- Reset sections, endcaps, and shelving according to planogram
- Build interactive displays by following instructions/schematics and using a variety of hand-held tools
- Troubleshoot to ensure power displays are updated and fully functional
- Set up or install electronics and connect devices to various media players
- Complete routine maintenance tasks such as stocking, auditing/inventory, cleaning, updating signage, etc.
- Maintain business communications with remote Field Manager via phone and email
- Submit online survey reports to document visits, including digital photos of completed work
- Successfully execute work independently and/or as part of a team
- Manage acceptance and scheduling of work to ensure it is completed on-time
ARE YOU A MATCH?

- Strong detail-orientation to follow sets of written instructions and display diagrams
- Ability to work independently without direct in-person supervision as a remote field employee
- Access to reliable transportation to cover our retail vendor locations within a 30 mile radius
- Access to internet, basic hand-held tool set, and smart phone or tablet with Wi-Fi/GPS
- Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
