Description:

• Perform onsite management of small retail/commercial remodels
• Responsible for safety enforcement & safety audits
• Creating project schedules & coordinating with subcontractors on a daily basis
• Onsite documentation of activities & reporting updates in project management software
• Handling submittals, change orders, RFI's, and other related documents
• Reading blueprints, drawings, site layouts in accordance to specifications
• Proposing bids and determining the costs of labor and materials for projects
• Attending client meetings/coordinating with client onsite
• Daily job-site clean-up/ensuring site is set-up for operation the next day
• Ensuring site is secure & locked up prior to wrapping up the shift
• Occasional basic hand/power tool use

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (Associate's a minimum requirement)
• An internship to 3 years of experience working for a general contractor, or related construction experience
• Hands-on attitude and ability to work with their hands
• Must be open to working night shifts, weekends dependent on project
• Ability to travel around the Chicagoland area for projects
