Description/Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and examining grain in the grading lab. This is a GMP grade environment in a manufacturing based setting. We will depend on you for the following:
-Quality Checking in the Grading Lab: Hand grading oat samples to determine rates of contamination and to verify the quality of the oats being milled.
-Perform sanitation activities within the work area.
-Be flexible to support both labs depending on the needs for the day (at the discretion of the Senior Lab Technician).
-Maintaining the oat grading sorting machine (basic troubleshooting of the instrument and maintenance)
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 2yr or 4yr Degree in sciences OR HS Diploma with relevant experience
- Exposure to food testing, production, or Scientific/Laboratory coursework is a plus
