Description:

This is a 4/10 Schedule. Seeking an Engineering Aide to Support the Sniper ATP Test Engineering in fabrication area and/or processing laboratory with cable/wire harness manufacturing, soldering through hole and surface mount components. This individual should be skilled at troubleshooting failed/damaged wire harnesses/cables and be capable of performing experiments and tests. This individual should also be capable of evaluating new processes, products, and isolate process problems, designing simple experiments, implementing, collecting results, maintaining appropriate logs, and providing oral and/or written reports of results. This individual will monitor process controls, materials, and supplies, and may be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. This individual may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures, and may advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment. Basic Requirements: 3 year min of experience may be in other fabrication environments including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product. Must have Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements. Ability to fabricate electrical test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines.

Ability to communicate issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers. Position is a minimum of 40 hours per week commitment with occasional overtime. DOD Secret Clearance needed.
