Actalent is Hiring a Civil Project Engineer Near Detroit, MI
Description:
Client is seeking multiple Civil Engineers/Designers. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and/or Detroit Market Lead. The client has 3 different local metro Detroit offices, and these positions could sit out of any of them based on where they live. Detroit, Rochester, and Novi are the 3 locations. They have a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
- Will be performing design, engineering calculations, and reports, do site visits, support permit application, construction assistance, and evaluates land use and zoning requirements.
- Will use AutoCAD and Civil 3D on a daily basis to do the design work. Depending on his/her experience, they could support private sector land development projects, municipal projects (City of Detroit mainly), or if they had MDOT/Road design experience, they could support MDOT projects as well.
- Will mainly do site/land development work, and will focus on grading, drainage, sanitary/sewer, and utilities work.

Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
- 4 plus years of experience in Civil Site Development design
- Civil 3D Design skills
- Experience designing grading, drainage, utilities, sanitary/sewer, etc.
BONUS:
- Civil Engineering degree
- EIT or PE
- Project Management skills
- K-12 project experience
- City of Detroit project experience
- Urban planning/design experience
