Clearance: Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

The candidate will lead software project planning including the preparation of software development plans; development of software design, coding, quality, inspection, and testing guidelines. The incumbent will lead the evaluation of software requirements, design and development of software systems and subsystems. Tasks involve the following general software design issues: (1) analysis and design for object oriented implementation (2) software development and maintenance, (3) algorithm development with specific emphasis in clustering & classification and (4) data mining. This position includes the application of modern software analysis and design techniques. The incumbent will lead software development. This will include: developing and maintaining software used to support data analytics. The incumbent will lead the design and preparation of documentation generated in support of the Space Systems Development Department programs.

This position requires knowledge of C, C , LINUX, Python, windowing packages such as X11/Motif; Configuration Management (CM) tools such as JIRA, Git, Confluence, Visual Studio; Contiguous Integration (CI) tools such as GitLab, Azure, Jenkins and Maven. Experience building containerized products (i.e. Docker), data analytics, models, and machine learning tools in statistical programming languages such as MATLAB and R. REST based Web Services, Cesium, HTML 5.0, Java Design Patterns and best practices.

Qualifications

A Bachelors or Advanced degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or anotherappropriate field (or the benefit of equivalent knowledge and technical training) in addition to a ten years of experience
