Description

Position Summary

 Under the direction of Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse laborer handles incoming and outgoing shipments. These professionals load and unload items from delivery trucks, move merchandise to the appropriate storage area, prepare outgoing shipments, and check that orders are complete and not damaged. Other duties and responsibilities include putting labels on goods; maintaining the storage area; and replenishing work supplies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Accurately and timely complete tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
· Respond to urgent requests and ensure all other receipts are completed in the order in which material was delivered.

· Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor

· Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and/or labeled.

· Managing all merchandise with appropriate care

Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements:
Must possess a minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Forklift experience is preferred. Preferred 1-2 years of work experience working in a warehouse or experience moving & storage or the transportation industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Excellent communication and listening skills.

· Willingness to work extended and weekend hours as needed.

· Ability to read, write, and comprehend all documents proficiently.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows-based programs.

· Ability to work with a team and foster teamwork.

· Accountable & Reliable work ethic

The employee must have the ability to bend, pivot and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to use hands and arms to manipulate and position paperwork and other items.
