We are actively hiring early-to-mid-career Strategic Communications Consultants with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to support a fast-paced and growing team in Reston, VA. The successful candidates will have experience in serving as a trusted advisor to clients regarding communications goals and strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate independently with no supervision and collaborate effectively if in a team environment to:
  • Provide advice and recommendations on communications strategy to leaders and goals
  • Develop and execute communication strategies that align with organizational goals
  • Draft a wide variety of communications documents for review, to include website and social media content, workforce messages, reports, and briefings
  • Develop and monitor metrics to gauge communications effectiveness
  • Facilitate meetings, planning sessions, and offsites focused on communications and branding strategy
• Using familiarity with the client’s operating environment to enhance mission execution, work closely with the client’s management team to assess current and future strategic communications needs and assist with the development of innovative communication solutions.
• Assist with designing data collection plans, facilitating workshops, and communicating the team’s research and illustrative analysis using multi-channel communications to help establish understanding and agreement from key decision makers.
• Understand senior leadership goals and desired outputs and translate those into digestible and effective forms of communication for both external and internal audiences

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with the Federal Government
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to think critically, analyze, and actively listen to effectively solve problems
• Proven track record of navigating complex projects, building client relationships, and collaborating with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research, data gathering, and analytical skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s degree
• Experience with projects on client sites
• Experience with consulting in a professional or internship environment
• Ability to display creative thinking and provide innovative solutions to clients’ communications challenges and problems
• Familiarity with web design and content management tools and techniques
